Delegate Grammer Files Legislation to Audit Baltimore County Public Schools

I am happy to share with the people of Baltimore County that I have filed legislation that will execute a thorough audit of Baltimore County Public Schools.

House Bill 428 would require the Office of Legislative Audits to conduct a special comprehensive audit of the procurement practices and contracts of the Baltimore County public school system during the time period from January 1, 2012 to June 30, 2018. The audit would focus on procurement practices, contracts, interactions between school officials and vendors as well as compliance with certain ethics standards and requirements.

The trust in our public institutions has been destroyed. In order to restore the faith of the public, we must push for transparency so that any bad actors can be held accountable.

Please help me push for accountability. Ask your representatives to support HB428.
