This is a story that tells a happy ending.
With the passage of the Java Act, the Patriot Java Stop held its grand reopening. The students that operated the coffee stand joined us to cut the ribbon.
When I was raised, we embraced the idea of empowering people and challenging them to rise to the occasion – not managing every detail of their life and lowering the bar. The Patriot Java Stop challenges these students to step up and achieve more. I want to thank the students, parents, teachers and community members who helped us fight to protect the members of the Patriot Java Stop.
I will continue to fight to get government bureaucrats out of education and empower our teachers.
